Review on Oshlun MTM CS 12 Inch Combination Square by Jack Robi

Bought it claiming it was value for money. The buyer is warned that you get what you pay for. I think it will do in a pinch, but I'm looking for the best product with the best build quality. The only detail of decent quality is the ruler to which the guides are attached, it seems reliable and accurate. The three "devices" that mount are made of aluminum (which makes them light), but that's their only advantage. The mounting points are poorly designed, resulting in a probe and goniometer that are suspect in terms of accuracy. In most cases you will not use this tool with ALL three devices connected at the same time. This way you separate the ones you don't need. But be careful, the set screw that you use to attach the instrument to the ruler is not held to the instrument (loose and can get lost). Overall I wouldn't recommend it for reliable measurements or long term use as the quality just isn't there.
