The Bell 100 dashboard touts 12 functions in one compact unit and delivers most of them. Setting up the computer is very simple: install magnet, sensor and base with zippers, set time and distance standard, done. Wheel stats are defined in the manual so it's pretty easy to get started. However, if you mount the computer on a different bike, you will need to set it to a different wheel value to keep the computer accurate. What's nice is that the computer stores data about your ride, such as speed, distance, total distance and top speed. Considering the computer's price, you can't export data to your phone, but that keeps costs down. Resetting the trip meter as instructed is completely WRONG. Instead of holding down the left and right buttons to reset the tripmeter, you ONLY need to press the right button for three seconds. This will also reset the travel time and average speed. The Bell Dashboard 100 advertises 12 features, but some of the intangible features either work or they don't. Auto start/stop is definitely a plus. You can connect your computer to the base and take off without pressing a button. The scan function, on the other hand, is completely missing. You definitely don't want to monitor your computer for data while you're cycling. Pressing the right button to find the function you want takes a little longer, but is much safer than glancing down every few seconds to see the information you want. The speedometer comparator and trend can be either good or bad. too much of. The average amateur cyclist might not be interested in these features, but knowing if you're going faster than usual, or accelerating or decelerating, can be useful for more serious riders. For an inexperienced cyclist, this computer can be useful to view your data in real time. But for the more enthusiastic drivers, the Bell Dashboard 100 may not provide the data you want or need.
