Well I live in Alaska so about 6 months out of the year the roads are covered in ice and the ditches are full of cars and bottomless snow pits. Now I only use chains when I have to, which is very rare, but they make a world of difference, especially these! I have a Ranger 4x4 and with V-tracks I can tow almost anyone. With the help of these chains or other means of traction, I pulled more than 1 ton out of the trenches. Once you put them on the V-Bars, they sink right into the ice, giving you the traction you need. I plan to order another set once I have extra money.
