What an interesting twist on the use of the phrase! I feel the need to state right off the bat that after using the native thermal paste on the dropsy GamerStorm Captain 240X White, there is absolutely no discernible difference between the two. On my case, as well as on all of the coolers, I have particular speeds set so that there is the least amount of noise possible. Processor i7 7700k that has been overclocked. 39 degrees Fahrenheit during downtime spent on antiquated thermal paste that has already been in use for four years (!). When running Prime95 under load, the temperature reaches 83 degrees. We choose to go with the highly acclaimed MX-5. Simple 37-38, under load 83-84. In point of fact, I have reached the conclusion that there has been no change; but, in most cases, you would not anticipate this from a tube that is almost a thousand years old. Because of this, I am unable to recommend it to people who already own something respectable; however, I believe that it will be an excellent option for those who have already owned a computer for 10 years or use KPT-8.
