Review on Exhaust fan Soler & Palau SILENT-100 CZ, white 8 W by Mateusz Gsiewski ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Not quite what I wanted, but mostly okay.

To tell you the truth, after reading all of the laudatory evaluations and reviews, I did not expect this, but the vents 100 ma, which costs half the price, is superior in virtually every way. The only difference is that the noise level it produces is 36 dB, rather than 34 dB like this one. The setting of Silent is acceptable for the time being; but, if during the summer there is a backflow of air through the ventilation shaft, you will need to adjust it once again because there is not a typical check valve in place.

Pros
  • Having a lower noise level than vents 100 ma
Cons
  • - The ambient noise in the room is 27 decibels, but turning on the fan elevates the loudness to 34 decibels - The light indication from under the plastic is not visible; in order to view the light when it is turned on at night, you will need to cut a hole under the lamp - Due to the nature of the check valve, it is preferable not to have it installed. In the first place, there are discernible gaps all around it on two out of the two copies, and the air flow in the opposite direction will go through those gaps. The second issue, which is probably the most significant, is that the film that simulates the check valve created an awful bouncing sound when either of the two copies that I purchased were activated. The film can be easily torn off and thrown away as the problem's remedy because it can be torn off as easily as if it were specifically created for that purpose.
