Roku has done a fantastic job creating a simple setup process for these devices. The remote then turns on both the Roku device and the TV. The only feature you will need in the future is the ability to change the input (port) selection. It was basically plug and play, except for syncing the device to the TV and connecting to the internet. Connected fairly quickly and had no problems with the signal (this review is posted about 2 months after purchase). The only downside was that the adhesive was a little flimsy and didn't stick to the TV. I fought this with stronger 3M adhesive pads.
