1. The length of leash that can be clipped around an attachment point or object is limited to 6" diameter due to the position of the female clip. limits the types of locations the leash can be anchored to, primarily by excluding most trees. If the location of the female rig was further away from the male rig, or if a second female rig was added (further away), say 3 times the distance, the leash would be much more useful.2. A dog that is rushing at full speed (e.g. to chase a squirrel) and is on a 30 foot leash can, when pushed to the limit, be jerked to the neck (or even to the chest) by a sudden tug , if it was in a harness). I use (with a 30ft line) nylon webbing. The leash has steel buttons at both ends and the elastic part of the cord is completely encased in an accordion-like fabric.
