Works perfectly. Recommended

Heavy duty nylon strap - essential for my lab pup. The clip works well and is easy to attach. Convenient handle for attaching to poles etc. Not for everyday use in tight spaces, but good for training. After a few weeks of use, the longer leash is good for beach walks. If I let my lab puppy have as much leash as he wants, he doesn't pull at all. He is happy with his range. It makes our walks so much more fun for both of us. Definitely recommended.

Perfection: Training and Behavioral Aids

I love this item, whether it's letting my dog run like crazy or building a base for the leash to drop, it keeps me safe. I was very afraid that the buckle would come loose, but that didn't happen. It's endured mud, snow, biting wind, countless random door closures, and a 70-pound dog with a good hunting instinct, and shows no signs of wear. I haven't used a handle to attach it to anything, but since it never comes loose on lunges, I imagine it will work very well once attached properly. My only

Well done, worth the price

I use this when I want my 40 lb pooch to have a range of motion beyond a typical 6 foot lead. She "stalks" the squirrels and surprises them by approaching a tree before the leash ends. Walking on the beach is great, I can never take her off the leash, she has too many dogs but she keeps getting better. Exercise because it can go from 50 feet back to 50 feet forward in one deadbeat — we call it a hundred-foot dash. It's not used every day, but I take it to the park, select walks, and the beach…

Sturdy leash good for training Leashes

Very strong leash and comfortable padded handle. I really wish we had one without a snap handle, although that makes holding the leash awkward. It's just that the large clip is in an awkward spot if you're the kind of person who sticks their hand in a pin and keeps the leash close to the point of impact (soft grip around the back of the hand). This is how we should normally hold the leash due to the weight of our dogs. If we just held the soft part with our fingers, it could probably free…

  • Free for training use

Slippery and unreliable

Bought several nylon lines and none were as slippery as this one. It is smooth and slippery and can be compared to seat belts. Something you need on a leash. We needed something we could practice "off the leash" but grab when needed. It has slipped out of my hand several times. Safety is huge to me and the whole reason I use a leash. If you're just using it as a leash I'm sure it might be fine for that, but if you're using it for walking your dog or as a long leash for off-leash/recall training

Pros
  • Very good value for money

  • Obsolete model

Medium dog snap leash

I really liked this leash. My bitch has been amazing as she can now get a lot more exercise than before. However, the metal part broke very quickly. I tied a leash to a tree to clean up after her and as soon as she ran after the squirrel the leash snapped off at the end. It is possible that I received a defective item as the fabric and stitching appear to be significantly more durable than the clasp. Please see the photos to see what happened and how big my dog is. I would like to point out…

Very good but could use improvement

1. The length of leash that can be clipped around an attachment point or object is limited to 6" diameter due to the position of the female clip. limits the types of locations the leash can be anchored to, primarily by excluding most trees. If the location of the female rig was further away from the male rig, or if a second female rig was added (further away), say 3 times the distance, the leash would be much more useful.2. A dog that is rushing at full speed (e.g. to chase a squirrel) and is…

Check the stitching on the handle

***Update*** added a star from my original 3 star rating. The company has great service! While the center seam has completely resolved, the top seam still holds the handle well. Wouldn't trust him as a leash. But it works great as a training tool (recall). I think this leash is good quality for the price! Even with my broken leash, it is still very comfortable and holds up well (except for the seams on the handle). *Original Review* After about 4 gaming sessions, the seams have completely…

Very good but could use improvement

1. The length of line that can be clamped around an anchor point or object is limited to a 6 inch diameter due to the position of the female latch. This short length severely limits the types of locations the hooklink can be anchored in, primarily by removing most trees, for example where the female rig location would be farther from the male rig, or where a second female rig (further away ) was added, at 3x the distance a leash would be much more useful 2. A dog rushing at full speed (e.g. to…

Very good leash for training

I have found this to be a very good product for my recently adopted 8 month old herding mix to allow her to work/play outside without fear of getting too close to the road. I probably should have gone with a 40 or 50 foot head start but my mistake was underestimating the distance and 30 still works. I've been able to use it many times and haven't had any issues with strength, durability or quality, in fact it's a little heavier than expected including a nice solid line clip. With us, it gets…
