Bought several nylon lines and none were as slippery as this one. It is smooth and slippery and can be compared to seat belts. Something you need on a leash. We needed something we could practice "off the leash" but grab when needed. It has slipped out of my hand several times. Safety is huge to me and the whole reason I use a leash. If you're just using it as a leash I'm sure it might be fine for that, but if you're using it for walking your dog or as a long leash for off-leash/recall training I'd skip it altogether. Very bad design for this type of use. 2 stars because we might be able to use it as a cable (and hope the buckle will hold).
