Just like the original.
Arrived on the promised day, I put the batteries in, pointed at the TV and pressed the power button. Then you know what? The TV turned on, right, it turned on like I was using the remote control that came with the TV. As a bonus, the other buttons worked too! Just make sure you have the right TV as described in the comments. It's not designed to work with TCL Roku, so people shouldn't complain if it doesn't work with their TCL Roku! Kind of makes sense when you think about it.
