The cable or connection on the device shorted out after about 40 days

It still works, although I often have to realign or reconnect the cable to get it working as it doesn't always make a connection. first try. I like the device but I don't know how durable it will be. Asked for warranty replacement. If I get a warranty replacement we will check if it's a one-time problem or if it's reoccurring and if it recurs I'll do a second check.
