As you can see by the picture, I’m using these to act as makeshift zipper straps for my back pack. In order to seal in the knot, I was forced to get a lighter and singe the leather, I must say that it takes probably a good minute to a minute and a half to actually do real damage to it. I’ve even stress tested the ones that had a lighter under it for a while and the only way to break them is to cut them with scissors.
