Review on 🚴 MTX Rear Bike Basket: Optimize Your Search! by Mike Newbill

I added a Topeak Explorer stand to my mid-sized Giant Escape 1 Hybrid and this MTX basket is designed to slide and snap into this stand, which it does . Just great. The basket is solid and well designed, but note that it may not fit many smaller frames as it slides over the back of the saddle and the Topeak Explorer post is quite tall. To mount it on my mid-size hybrid bike, I mounted the rack to the underside of the two threaded eyelets on the frame that are typically used for fender mounts. I also moved the saddle forward about an inch. This provided enough clearance so that the front of the basket fit freely under the saddle and I didn't hit the basket when pedaling. See photos for close-up views of the saddle basket gap and the installed post and basket. Once installed, the trolley works very well. It only takes a second to put on and take off, and it can be used when shopping because there is a carrying handle integrated in the basket. I also bought a Topeak Cargo Net which is supposed to keep everything in the cart in the basket.
