Budget option but not the best quality. For frequently used cannulas, use Herm Sprenger

Heavy and chunky, not as accurate as Herm Sprenger pen. PLEASE learn how to use them properly before using them. The earplugs should fit snugly (ie when placed behind the ears, they should not droop and fall off on their own). They are designed to be used with a regular collar as the connectors may fail. or break, and then you have a free dog. It is designed to be placed, again neatly, behind the ears close to the head and NOT at the base of the neck. The point here is to ensure that the pressure of the prong does not end up in the dog's windpipe, which is what flat collars do and why they are unsafe for heavy duty retractors. The tracheae are not very strong and can collapse or rupture. This is not intended for hard lead correction. The reason the tines are effective is because they put pressure on the entire throat. A small flick of the wrist to return the dog to the footed position is usually all that is needed. In particular, I would not recommend this pen. The tines are large and imprecise, I really think medium and small tines work best for almost any size dog and can offer a better fit. I would only recommend this size to potential giants like Great Danes.
