This box has many functions. The filter is only entry-level HEPA. I have found that when doing home renovations and generating a lot of dust, the filter is bypassed. I used an ozone generator and it should run for several hours if I do the whole house. I park mine in front of my HVAC air intake with the fan running. There may be better filters out there, but for the price and compact size, it's not bad. Remember to leave the house when using the ozone function. It kills mold and mildew and during this process breathing is uncomfortable and it takes about an hour to restore normal air. It would be better to invest the money in a device with a medical H13 filter. Too much pollen and dust pass through the filter. See grill and fan. They should be glossy black, not grainy and gray. ********
