Excellent foraging toy. My gray parrot loves it big; usually a few times a week. This is one of the few food toys he actually uses. My Senegal loves the small size. I like making sure they have ways to stay busy while I'm at work and that definitely helps. It also cuts down on the time they spend breaking the liner at the bottom of the cages, which I wish they hadn't. Reading some of the negative reviews makes me think that some people who were disappointed might not have bought the base. These boxes are simply filler pieces that are placed over the base and held in place by a metal rod and acrylic clasp. I assume you can use it without a base, but that will ensure treats fall to the bottom of the cage if your bird tears through the cardboard. I have an acrylic base that attaches to the cage with a metal rod that catches most of the goodies when the cardboard is ripped. If you decide to try this product, be sure to buy the base - both you and the bird will be happy.
