I use a Microsoft Surface tablet and I had two different video converters in my bag. Switching to this converter means less stuff in my pocket. Works great so far and at a good price. I've only used StarTech's HDMI converter, which stopped working after a few months. It's hard to say if quality issues will be present with all StartTech items, but in my experience you can expect these items to have a shorter lifespan than you would like. We'
