This is an interesting little device which I think is a step in the right direction for an HTPC with gaming capability, but it does require some work. Pros: -compact overall solid design -keyboard backlight option -when the controller sleeps, the key you pressed to wake it up (e.g. pressing A to pause Kodi once instead of twice) sends Xinput/Dinput -modes -can put computer to sleep mode (only to keyboard mode and only if it was in keyboard mode when computer was put to sleep) Cons: - trackpad is mediocre, like most of those tiny keyboards I've seen - ergonomics missing on the controller side - no can wake up the computer from controller mode (not such a big minus, I don't know of any other controller that can) - analog sticks don't have much grip, d-pad is a bit sloppy (no worse than 360 controller D-Pad though IMO) I honestly give this thing a lot of wiggle room because I find it so unique and the price is still high for what you get. I paid that price to get a keyboard that didn't fit me more than once and I really like the keyboard. I like this idea! I think this is only really useful when setting up an HTPC. The keyboard side is what I expected and I like the backlight option. controller page. Not impressive. It's very boxy and just not quite playable. There's nothing particularly practical or precise, the counterparts are fairly slick and I always feel like searching for the button or trigger I want to use. It's cool to use Kodi or browse the web, but I tried it in Skyrim and got frustrated pretty quickly. I like Xinput mode because my HTPC is already configured to accept mouse and certain desktop buttons from Xinput controllers via Controller Companion. That means I didn't have to set anything up to use this other than plugging it in and changing the mode. I hope Rii continues this way of thinking. I'd really like to see one that places more emphasis on the fit and feel of the controller side, with a keyboard to back it up. It's like the opposite - as if the keyboard is the primary concern and the controller secondary. Maybe one day we'll see something like the 8bitdo SN30 Pro series with a small keyboard on the back. I get by 95% without a keyboard, but personally I like to use a controller whenever possible. prevent someone from receiving it. But don't expect to replace your 8bitdo controller or Xbox to play with it, it's not there yet. Update: The controller page has become almost unusable in the long run. It keeps sending ghost inputs for no reason. Rewind commands when I'm pausing, or sometimes just randomly when it's just woken up. Sometimes my computer seems to go to sleep with the physical power button a few seconds after waking up, even though the device itself is in sleep mode. I really wanted to like it, but it's more trouble than it's worth. Most of these problems seem to go away when the controller is cycled off and on with the toggle as needed, but having a sleep mode doesn't make any sense at all. Will update if I find a better solution. The keyboard side seems to be in perfect condition, but I haven't used it that much. Update 2: As far as I can tell, my problem was mainly caused by something with the automatic calibration when the controller wakes up. Addressed much of the random search issue by increasing stick deadzones in Kodi from the default 20% to 50%. Other problems I had were solved by putting the controller in dinput mode, but I couldn't tell you why. It still has the occasional spooky left stick when waking from sleep, but it no longer randomly skips my videos.
