All in all, for the price, it's nice to be able to play a round of golf in your garage on a cold, rainy day in the Pacific Northwest. For the most part I agree with most of the reviews here, but I'd like to add a few things that I didn't mention. When you hit the ball the optimizer is a hard transition, unlike real grass it has almost no bounce so most of the time it slows your turning speed by 5-15 mph and your shot is short. 2. Most modern drivers do not work. Infrared sensors need a shiny surface to register the stick and detect the edge to know if it's open or closed. Most modern drivers are mostly black and have a rounded bottom edge, making them difficult to read and read accurately. (I only use my 3-tree for driver recordings with a small strip of white tape around the edge.) 3. The software can actually use the update. You need to add the ability to select the "type of shot": shot, flop, chip, etc. You have arrows to set the height of the ball, but this doesn't affect distance at all and the highest ball flight is a 60- Grad wedge doesn't even come close to flop shot. If you find yourself in a deep bunker (> 5-6 feet), you can surrender. Also, the Skins game doesn't track scoring properly and many other minor annoying things. I don't think the programming team played golf :)4. Training ground: Why can't I choose my distance flags? Really limits the practice.5. Place. You must select a "slow" green for each course you play to estimate actual distances. Anything higher and you can expect the ball to bounce 40 feet if you land a 10 foot kick in real life. 6. Approach Shots: The ball never rolls more than 3 feet on any approach shot. whether you're shooting from the periphery or 130 yards. I really wish it was more realistic.7. For better accuracy; Make sure all your irons are shiny, use a 3 tree to drive white tape, shine a fluorescent light directly on the sensors and learn how to iron sweep.
