Review on Rechargeable Digital Noise Cancelling Hearing Aid BLJ-109 - Banglijian (1 Unit) by Mac Quigley

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Compares favorably with my +/- $5,000 pair of prescription HAs

For the record, I give my Rx HAs a 3: despite daily cleaning, they must be professionally cleaned after each 2 months of wear and, in this time of Covid-19, while the cleanings are free it's not worth the risk of infection from returning to (name of store omitted) where I bought them. Otherwise I'd give my Rx HAs a 5. I rated these Banglijian HAs so highly mainly because they can be completely cleaned at home, no professional cleaning required. Noise cancellation is adequate, not quite on par with my Rx HAs, but nearly. I can't hear a difference between the 3 environment settings on the Bangilijian HAs--the main reason I chose this model--but perhaps others can. Batteries on the Bangilijian are rechargeable but not replaceable; but then neither were they replaceable on any of the other OTC HAs to which I compared them. Volume is more than adequate! I have the volume set relatively low, there is plenty of room to "grow". Note: these are not Bluetooth, nor do they claim to be. Yeah, if one can afford Rx HAs that is definitely the way to go, but until there is a vaccine for Covid-19 and it is safe to venture out again, for me these are a good substitute.

Pros
  • Banglijian
Cons
  • The noise cancelling feature may cause discomfort or interference for some users
