Installed on a 2004 Monte Carlo with a naturally aspirated 3800 Series II V6 transversely mounted engine and driven approximately 135,000 miles. Due to the design of the engine in this car, you must remove the two "dog bone" front engine mounts and use a ratchet strap attached to the rear anchorage and front cross member to pull the engine forward to allow enough clearance for the engine Gain access to the rear cylinder bank (#2, 4, and 6). ALWAYS BLOCK THE WHEELS AND SHIFT THE VEHICLE INTO NEUTRAL BEFORE! These steps will make the whole process MUCH easier and hassle free. The electrode runs a little further into the cylinder than standard ACDelco spark plugs, but doesn't cause any piston or valve clearance problems (and technically can increase compression VERY slightly, haha). The correct torque for the 3800 Series II plugs is 15 ft-lbs, but if you don't have a torque wrench or don't want to fiddle around you can simply use the German "Gudentight" torque specification by hand tightening the plugs and then more 1/4" 4-1/2 turns with a ratchet. These spark plugs do a great job on this application and the engine runs as good as ever.
