Works great! There are great videos showing you how to replace these hard drives. I bought and installed an SDXC adapter and a new battery in my very old 5th gen 30GB iPod that had a drive failure a few years ago. With a 256GB micro SD card, the iPod works like clockwork! It also has longer battery life. It is well made and fits the inside of the iPod perfectly. My music collection is over 185GB, so it's too big for a 160GB iPod. This update has removed this limitation. IMPORTANT NOTE. Keep in mind that the 6th generation iPod is limited to a 128GB hard drive. So there's no point in buying this 6th generation iPod upgrade if you want to go beyond 128GB: the iPod won't use more than 128GB from your card. The 5th and 7th generation iPods are not so limited.
