In this section, I will discuss the initial reactions I had upon upgrading from MX 2S to MX 3. 1) The MX 3 is narrower than the MX 2S. It's not a lot, but you can definitely tell. A "hump" that is only somewhat more prominent on top. In general, the MX 2S provided my paw with a higher level of comfort. 2) Because the MX 3 wheel has a more "hard" fixation, it will be required to become accustomed to using it. It causes the scrolling speed to slow down excessively near the end of a long page. The noise produced by inertial scrolling has been reduced by several orders of magnitude, making it far less audible. Similar to when you wear a muffler) 3) The sound produced when hitting the buttons on the MX 3 has become louder. My opinion is that there is not much of a distinction between the two. A very typical sound) 4) The side buttons on the MX 3 are far more comfortable than those on the MX 2S. On the MX 2S, you needed to flex your thumb in order to make the side buttons comfortable to press; however, on the MX 3, the side buttons fall directly under the finger. View photo here.
