This little light is what I would call aggressive. I know what the packaging says about brightness. It is bright enough to emit a lighter shade of amber with the same cap. It extends further than a halogen lamp. I don't mean that in a bad way, but I honestly didn't think they would work the way they did. Aggressive is a good word for it. Now that this is uncovered (glass case) and I assume getting wet will destroy these bulbs, I wrapped a ring of tape around the lid to keep out rain until I have a silicone bead to fill that gap. . While it might be better suited to the room, just want to say that it's bright. It's aggressive. You get a lot of light for a small price.
