Review on OXO 38281 Good Grips Colander by Harish Soto

This is a very good quality plastic strainer, not at all like cheap flexible strainers. The plastic construction is sturdy and has a smooth finish with small feet on the bottom so it can stand in a sink or counter without getting wet or dirtying the inside. I love that it also has sturdy black handles that give it a good grip when transporting. I know some people have mentioned in the reviews that their noodles slipped through the tension holes, but I haven't encountered this problem yet. I've made noodles from angel hair to bow ties to all kinds of noodles and not a single noodle has slipped through the cracks. I believe the cracks are pretty small so you have to have very thin noodles for them to slip through completely. I've had this strainer for a few months now and it hasn't broken yet. I pour hot water straight from the pot with the pasta in it into a colander and it has withstood many, many uses without the material peeling or warping. In conclusion I would say that for the price this screen is a great investment and will last a long time.
