I bought this because OXO products are premium, just like this product, but it didn't fit in the storage space I had in mind. I bought this to try because it said 'Free Returns'. However when I tried to return it it was only free if I took it to a Revain return location about 15 miles away! All other returns are $6! This is a very good quality plastic strainer, not at all like cheap flexible strainers. The plastic construction is sturdy and has a smooth finish with small feet on the bottom so it can stand in a sink or counter without getting wet or dirtying the inside. I love that it also has sturdy black handles that give it a good grip when transporting. Love this strainer! My mother has been using this colander for over 15 years. She still has it and it's still like new. Aesthetics. There is no doubt that this is an attractive screen. That was one of the main arguments that made me buy it. It goes perfectly with other black and white kitchenware as well as other OXO products. It also does a very good job of not looking like your typical and boring colander.
