Review on OXO 38281 Good Grips Colander by Julie Terrones

Love this strainer! My mother has been using this colander for over 15 years. She still has it and it's still like new. I bought one for myself because I prefer plastic strainers over metal strainers and also because they are easy to clean and most importantly it has legs that lift the strainer. Kitchen sink. The reason this feature is so important is that it prevents the dirty contents of the sink from getting into the strainer. I don't like that most metal screens don't have "legs" but a closed round piece of metal. It's also not good because it doesn't let the water flow out and drain easily. The only negative thing about this strainer is that it holds 3 liters instead of 4 liters. While 3 liters is a good size for my needs, I would still prefer a 4 liter strainer and they definitely shouldn't advertise it as a 4 liter strainer if it isn't. In general, the quality of the screen is very good. I like the heaviness and thickness of the hard plastic used so it doesn't break if dropped. I hope to have this sieve for many years, like my mother.
