Review on πŸ”₯ Hakko Solder Tip: Conical R0.1 x 6mm Micro Tip for FM-2032 Soldering Station by Craig Shah

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Best micro soldering tip yet

I am a J-STD-001/IPC-A-610 certified operator and soldering inspector with years of experience including soldering small SMT components Soldering Weller WXMP with tip RT 1NW (R0 ,1 mm). Compared to this Hakko tip, the Weller tip is worse for me - it tends to pick up a drop of solder. Also, quite often I have to replace Weller tips with soldering at 700Β°F. My other Hakko soldering tip seems to stay at the same 700Β°F forever (3 years), I expect this tip to be the same. I prefer Hakko as a brand for high quality soldering (small components, coated components, etc.), period. We use a brand new Metcal Dual Soldering Station at my new workplace, I would still trade it in for my Hakko FM-2032. Install anytime, period.
