Review on 🔒 Enhanced Safety with Onyehn Protection Protector Disconnect Discharge by Jeremy Bradford

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Insufficiently accurate use on a 12V lead-acid battery.

Voltage readings vary 0.5V peak to peak at steady state. No downloading. I'm measuring the battery right now. I would think I have a bad module, but both do. the same amount. 0.5V point. Of course, the absolute voltage measurement between them differs by about 0.4 volts. connected to the same battery. To expect any benefit at all, the circuit has to filter this display instead of using it directly. it's not like this. the brain seems to use each measurement to decide whether to turn off the load. Lead-acid modules do not have the voltage drops that allow such an inaccurate module to be used. 12.6 fully charged. and 11.9 is discharged. 0.7 volt drop between fully charged and fully discharged. Accuracy is required. I have to send them back. My use was to keep battery powered 12v security cameras from running out of battery. I need to turn off at 11.9v and turn on at 12.4v. (0.5V). On some days, the solar panels don't get enough light to fully charge the batteries overnight. These devices just switch constantly with such settings. because voltage measurements have 0.5V noise lead-acid batteries do not have a tenth of a volt noise. in comparison. my old $2.99 Port Cargo multimeter has better voltage reading accuracy.

Pros
  • display is accurate, switch module opens and closes quickly when voltage is close to minimum; Settings are stored in non-volatile memory and may be retained when power is removed
Cons
  • Wrinkled
