I bought them medium adult size. The leather was of average quality - not cheap, but not super nice either. I thought it would be a good starter kit. It turned out that even on the highest hole, they were too long. As they will certainly stretch over time I decided to save myself the headache of such a long leather and buy another pair. They're fine if you need fairly long leather fillers, but for most people's everyday workouts. not the best bet. I'm sure they work for someone, but that someone is just not me or anyone I know. However, my favorite part of them was that it was easy to get the stirrup on and off because the leather was so smooth (not necessarily soft) and in a relatively thin layer. at least there is.
