Easy installation, clear instructions. The problem is that the cable sticks to the bottom mounting plate and slides into the box when you close it. I put a piece of tape on the top of the panel to route the tailgate cable past the panel when closing. I can take it off and sand down the top end on the slope so the tape doesn't stick to my tailgate. It was a bit fiddly to extend the gas pressure damper by hand during installation. I've installed two of these in other trucks and haven't had this problem. I thought I had a bad gas shock absorber, but then it bumped into it and it broke. Now works like a charm!
