Easy installation, clear instructions. The problem is that the cable sticks to the bottom mounting plate and slides into the box when you close it. I put a piece of tape on the top of the panel to route the tailgate cable past the panel when closing. I can take it off and sand down the top end on the slope so the tape doesn't stick to my tailgate. It was a bit fiddly to extend the gas pressure damper by hand during installation. This works as intended and took me about 10 minutes to install. The ONLY thing I would like to share is make sure you have a torx screwdriver, specifically a T-50, to remove the factory screws. I've seen other kits for other truck models come with one (at least that's what it looked like) where I screwed up, I suggested this one would have and it didn't. la version amerciana no son iguales que a la version latinoamericana, en teoria tiene marcado donde debe ir pero justo alli no esta hecha la perforacion para la version de sudamerica ( ensamblada en argentina), ademas si te dijas bien los cable de sujecion tambien tienen posicion distinta a la version americana, en mi casi se cruzan, es decir, si quiziera soldar la sujecion de arriba, podria funcionar, pero aun asi se cruzaria con el cable, port tanto deberia dejar de usar el cable.

I've installed one on an F-150 before and while the Ranger tailgate isn't that heavy I think it's a good idea to close it have, just in case you slip when lowering. I found a good video online that walks you through the installation and I think it beats the instructions that came with this shock.
