Got this for my 7d mkii with Sigma 150-600mm C. You only need a long quick release plate so you can move the lens backwards as it's too heavy in the front or otherwise won't balance properly. The camera appears centered with the center of the tripod post. I've seen reviews of other cheap brands that seemed to have an issue where the base wasn't directly over the tripod's pivot point, but this brand seems good. I don't use this for panoramas, so I can't confirm that. Rotating left to right is easy, but it doesn't rotate indefinitely like a $400 gimbal. I can pick it up and turn it around, no problem. However, it's not ridiculously stiff and difficult to turn like some of the other cheap brands people try to hack to get it working. A little wobbly when making left/right turns but for the price I paid it's not a big deal.
