Not as good as the reviews I read...

I really wanted to love this stabilizer especially after reading all the great reviews. I give it 3 stars when I contacted the seller/manufacturer and they were very responsive and offered a modest price reduction for my difficulty, otherwise my rating would have been a lot lower. The swingarm didn't work smoothly so after watching many videos on You Tube I decided to disassemble the swingarm. It's poor quality...there are plastic bushings and washers inside, and the aluminum finish is…

Tripod heads are a game changer

This thing is a game changer. I was looking for a lightweight bird photography gimbal to hold my Nikon D850 and 200-500mm lens, so I tried this one because I love the blue accents. I'm telling you, that's all I need. Easy to balance, easy to fix. I even tried it with landscape photography with a long lens and it was easy to get exactly the composition I needed. It doesn't hold the wind well, but that's not what it's designed for. I take a lot of hummingbird and wildlife photos and it really…

An affordable alternative if you can't pay hundreds for a gimbal head.

Got this for my 7d mkii with Sigma 150-600mm C. You only need a long quick release plate so you can move the lens backwards as it's too heavy in the front or otherwise won't balance properly. The camera appears centered with the center of the tripod post. I've seen reviews of other cheap brands that seemed to have an issue where the base wasn't directly over the tripod's pivot point, but this brand seems good. I don't use this for panoramas, so I can't confirm that. Rotating left to right is…

Excellent features

I received this unit this morning and am very satisfied. I ordered a longer (100mm) QR plate to replace the one that came with the kit. Mounts and balances my Canon 6D and Sigma 150-600C, everything is fine. I searched U-Tube for the proper balancing steps as I had no idea and there are no instructions on how to balance with a gimbal head. It takes trial and error to get it right, but once you've got it, it works great. I see no need to change a lube as some people say it is required. Mine is…

This actually fixes my camera at an angle

I originally bought a Beike BK-45 and was impressed until realizing the tilt grip wouldn't move. it's frozen This meant I couldn't lock my Canon 80D up or down at an angle with a 70-200 f/4 USM lens, rendering the Beike BK-45 unusable. I've read about this issue in some Revain reviews, but it seemed to be intermittent at best. Since that was my experience as well, I chose the Koolehaoda Q45. It looked the same, even in the same standard packaging as the Beike, and was six dollars cheaper. The…

Not for a large lens for tripods and monopods

It seems well made and can work well for the price but there are some caveats. The maximum drop of the incline arm is 76mm from the centerline of the incline axis to the QR rail. Bottom. The Sigma 150-600mm C is 82.5mm (3.25 inches) from the center to the bottom of the QR plate, so the center of gravity is over the pivot point. In this position, the Sigma 150-600mm C can only tilt up 35 degrees. before the QR plate touches the hub. Tilt down 45 degrees. Both swivel and tilt bearings are viscous

BEST Blast for the Dollar!

I really can't praise this tripod head. I've bought four gimbal heads over the last few years - two were great, one was crap and one was overpriced for what you get. My first stabilizer was from another manufacturer just like this one and I was lucky enough to pick the right one because it was great but I don't remember the details to share. I also bought one for my girlfriend and it sucks - similar price, looked the same online but the quick release plate was crappy with imperfect mechanisms…
