On a 2 week old DRZ400 (OEM height 36.8 on seat) I couldn't do more after the front dropped 9/16". 34.75" before the fronts fall off. And after adding the 30mm shims. Without the shims you can only lower the handlebars about 3/8". I'm 5'10" with a 31" inseam and couldn't balance the bike vertically at the OEM height; it bent towards my toes a bit and it didn't work for me because I was afraid my calves would one day curl up and I would fall. From center to center this joint is about 140mm long; OEM is about 125mm. Total rear drop was 3 inches. (I measured by the number plate.) This dr0p seems a bit too much to me, maybe it will get better after adjusting the sag, otherwise I'll look for 130mm links or get adjustable ones.
