Review on ๐Ÿ•น๏ธ Compact Fun: Tiny Arcade Pac Man Miniature Game Delights All by Greg Peitz

Revainrating 5 out of 5

All in all, a surprisingly accurate recreation of the original game; not perfect but good value for money

I recently decided to try this Pac-Man minigame. I'm an old school kid from the 80's and I have a full size Pac Man arcade machine so I know how the real game plays. This little game is pretty damn close to the original and overall it's an amazing and fun little device for the money. And when I say "small" I mean it's less than 4 inches tall and literally has a key ring on the back (but I removed it as it's really too big to serve as a key ring but just understand that the buttons and joystick on this thing are tiny, but they work). Please note that there are multiple 1-star reviews; Most of them are unhappy with the small size, but the sizes are listed in the product description (and again, part of the appeal is the small size). What I like: The game has been more accurately recreated (or more likely just ported) including levels, different "fruits" in different levels, and even cropped screens. - The screen is very bright and sharp; The resolution could be a bit better, but it's so small that it looks great overall and looks very similar to the real arcade version. The case design is beautiful and colorful; Even when the machine is off, it's a nice little talking point. It uses 3 AAA batteries, accessible and replaceable from the back by unscrewing a screw, so in theory this device should last a very long time if handled with care. tiny size, it's really playable! It's not perfect though, so if you're an arcade snob or a perfectionist, here are a few issues: - Playability is good, but the game feels a bit slower than the original in earlier versions. levels and much slower at more advanced levels. I can play this game almost indefinitely without dying. - High scores are not retained after the game is turned off. - The joystick placement doesn't match the original game (but now we're really picky. Play in the office!) . But overall this is a nice little collectible and a great gift for anyone who loves 80's arcade games; Again, this is an amazing little device for the money.
