Review on DB Electrical 430-22098 Tilt & Trim Motor: Yamaha F200TXR, F225TXR, LF200TXR, LF225TUR (02-08), F250TUR, F250TXR (06-09), LF250TUR (05-09) - 10865N Compatible/Replacement by Victor Houser

My original T&T engine failed after thirteen years. The Yamaha factory replacement cost over $600. was glad to get it from Revain for less than $140 in a day; ordered on Saturday and received on Monday morning (Memorial Day); great service from Revain and USPS (yes, open on Memorial Day). The wiring harness is located on top of the swing motor, not on the bottom of the unit as factory; was no problem with my application; maybe an advantage. The device appears to be painted with a thin layer of black powder; I decided to sand it lightly and apply a few coats of Yamaha's blue/grey spray paint the day before installing it (an additional clear coat would have been preferable). Installation is a little tricky as the sterndrive needs to be removed to get good access to the rear propeller which is closest to the transom. The quality of the wiring harness corresponds to the factory wiring harness. The entire process took three hours, including draining the liquid again and cleaning it up by boat on the shore at ground level. Great value for money and from what I've read others have experienced good service with DB Electrical replacements.
