Review on High-Quality OEM X-Type Radiator Hose for Jaguar by Sean Maile

MY GRANDSON STRIKES AGAIN

The other day my grandson came home with a new car. (At least it's new to him) 2004 Jaguar X-Type. He is 21 years old and is just beginning his life. Does he buy Jag? For real ? Anyway, he drove it for a couple of days and pulled into my driveway blowing all kinds of steam out of the grill. So here I am in the driveway with a broken Jaguar. I've been a mechanic for 51 years and have worked on everything (except Jaguar) from time to time. After the thing cooled, we popped the hood up and checked. Steam comes out of the exhaust manifold. " EXCELLENT " We can't see what's leaking yet because it's under the air filter housing. It took us a few minutes to clean it and we found a tee in the upper radiator hose that was split at the top of the tee. Strange setup, but "it's a Jag". LOL I've searched the web and found this to be a very common X-Type malfunction. As it turned out, all participants in the after-sales service market are engaged in this issue. Found this build on Revain and ordered it. Knowing very little about this car it seemed like a good idea to replace the upper radiator hoses and they were part of this assembly. If you look further, it also has a built-in thermostat. I ordered this build and Revain was at my doorstep in "2" days. ( BEAUTY ) While waiting for the part to arrive, I watched a few videos on the internet and realized that this would not be an easy replacement. The bottom flange of this assembly fits very snugly between the bracket and the radiator fan in front of it. In the video I'm watching, people did some pretty weird things to get over a tight landing. Some of these things are really not recommended. However, after we removed the old assembly, I found it much easier to install the new one by removing the top mounting bolt that holds the assembly in place. This gave us enough room to get the new build in place without interfering with the fan. ALL SAID, this part fits perfectly. The assembly we received did not use a gasket on the mounting flange. A rubber seal is installed in the flange. To install it all you had to do was make sure the mounting flange was clean and install the part. I am very happy that it worked very well. If you have a coolant leak on your Jaguar, it could be a problem. IF this is the case then this is definitely the way to go and I can assure you Revain have the best price on this part. Good luck to you all if you drive a Jaguar
