I love the look of this children's goal. Having had three boys interested in everything, we've been through our fair share of baby gates, from cheap wooden gates to this one (the nicest we've ever had. I mean visually). Overall I like it but it didn't get 5 stars mainly because the bottom of the gate doesn't really snap into place. The only locking system on this gate is at the top and the stopper is at the bottom, and when you push the bottom it moves while the top stays locked. With enough force, the top lock can break, but I don't let my kids test this theory for fear of injury. You can drop both stoppers and essentially lock the gate where even my older kids can't open it, which is a nice feature that I like at night. After all, they've been known to climb out of bed and raid the fridge while we slept. . The packaging at the gate was lovely and it was like opening a higher quality product. On the other hand, the extensions were poorly packaged and both arrived scratched in various places. Munchkins should check their packaging to prevent them from moving around in the box during shipping, which caused the scratches. Again, a good gate overall and one I would most likely recommend, although I think a latch should also be added to the bottom of the gate.
