I like the function of keeping the spout open

After reading some negative reviews I was hesitant to buy. Do not worry about it; Here's why: On my electric stove, water heats up quickly using the largest, high-wattage burner. I particularly like the hold-open function. No problem with the vapor burning my hand and it pours easily. It's stainless steel so I'm not sure how it will ever rust. Filling with water is easily possible via the open spout, so that the lid does not have to be removed. The whistle isn't that loud, but it's very high pitched so it can be heard from a room or two. A good product.
