I have installed two of these built in filters in two different homes that are supplied with deep well water. In the first filter I use a coarse filter (from 15 to 30 microns) and in the second filter I use a fine filter (5 microns). The first filter needs to be changed about every 60 days, but the second filter can last four or five months before the accumulation of fine sediment needs to be replaced. The on/off/bypass is convenient and the mount is best for this type of device, especially when used with plastic tubing. You can press the filter firmly with a wrench and don't worry about the plastic pipes breaking. I don't use the red bump value. It is prone to clogging and slow flow. It is much easier to turn on the tap after the filters, thereby relieving the pressure in the line.
