I love these shoes! They have a slightly flexible sole but are strong enough to provide support and be comfortable. My daughter is 14 months old and likes to play with velcro but doesn't take it off when she runs. She likes to climb and crawl, and her shoes aren't too worn yet. I bought them a size larger than needed to give her room to grow and thanks to the velcro they fit her easily although they are a bit long.
