Do not use when ice fishing.

Not suitable for ice fishing. The depth of the fish is difficult to find. Most of the time it just shows the permanent fish even if there isn't one. Just spend $500 on a real sonar.

Pros

Underwater Detection Range: The portable depth finder's detection range is 45° in beam angle. The sonar transducer detection range is from 1 m (3 ft) to 100 m (328 ft) below the fish sonar transducer. The water depth can be displayed in either feet or meters. You can switch the units of measurement freely by pressing the "Enter" button on the portable fish finder.
