Review on 🚲 Black SKS-Germany 11317 S-Board Bicycle Front Fender by Steven Murray

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Serviceable but efficiency largely depends on the overall shape of the fork due to lack of adjustment

Considering the actual performance of this fender I think it's a bit overpriced. I consider this a worthy option AFTER a thunderstorm or in very light rain, but no more. Impressions: 1. Your fork is really going to play a big part in how well this fender fits as it lacks the adjustability. If you have a flared fork like mine, you can't get the wing tip any closer to the fork no matter how much you play with it. If your fork profile is narrower you might be able to handle it better, but keep that in mind as the remaining hole will definitely allow the spray to rise. The thing is that a little adjustment on this wing is pretty much useless. It stays in place but not tight. Aside from the attachment system, it's pretty flimsy and flexible in many ways. For example, the first day I used it, it was foggy at first and then turned into a downpour. When the downpour began, the wing of this wing flapped noticeably up and down and side to side. From this I conclude that it is best suited for wet roads after storms or foggy days. Overall I think some of the rave reviews give this a little more credibility than it deserves. This is also fine after storms on wet roads or in fog/light rain. However, if this is what you use on your regular rides in the rain, I would consider a few other options. The fact is that due to a large amount of rain, this wing can fail quite quickly. For me I find this wing a little oversized, with no adjustment, excessive attachment system and too weak part of the wing. Wet road / light rain, usable. Continuous rain or heavy rain, don't even think about it. Hooray!
