My M2 is elderly and has very severe arthritis, tried all types of perches and this first one worked. He used to hobble, and after a week on that perch at his favorite spot, he stopped limping a lot, and after a month or whatever, he's running around on the ground like nothing bothers him, climbing trees like a acrobat that he was. a few years ago and chasing the fingers just like many years ago. This perch is very strong and heavy so you need a strong cage to bolt it on. I doubt my bird will stay tied to a cage with flimsy bars. Definitely worth a try before treating it. I bought another one for one of my other older birds and will try to keep it from arthritis if I can.
