Review on Semenov Traditional Painted Matryoshka Russian by Kevin Taharka

Delivered quickly. I bought these as a gift for my youngest daughter from a Montessori gift line. She loves them and prefers to play with the little ones. There is a discrepancy in the way they are made; 4 dolls are easy to open, 2 of them require a lot of force and a wooden squeak. They are too heavy for her two year old hands to open on her own. My 4 year old can open simple ones but not solid ones. The colors are bright and pleasing to the eye. Most of the details are drawn on the largest doll, and the smaller the dolls get, the smaller the details become. The smallest only has points for the eyes, nose and mouth and 3 buttons. In comparison, the tallest has beautiful red, green, and other colored flowers, rosy cheeks, colored eyes, hands, clothing details, eyelashes, etc. I prefer wooden toys to plastic, and our daughter will be interested in something that will make her grow tall.
