Two things, the battery is already installed. Okay, but I'd rather have an insulator between the battery and the key fob so it's not already "on" and draining the battery, but NBD. Second, the instructions for the key fob I received (for a 2008 Honda Odyssey) were incorrect. No, I didn't download the wrong manual. I went online and found another guide that was less wrong but on the right track. Here's what worked. Make sure the door is closed and unlocked. then they all go through this sequence: on/press the lock button for 1 second (I didn't use the unlock button at all)/off-on/press the lock button for 1 second/off-on/press the lock button for 1 second/ off- incl. button for 1 second/off. (on this fourth cycle you should hear a cycle of locks). If you program a second remote control, repeat this sequence with it. After the fourth power on/off, turn off the car when you hear the lock cycle. Your remote control should work. The instructions I got from the seller's website said "ON / PRESS LOCK / ACCESSOR". It should tell you ON/PRESS LOCK BUTTON/OFF. Honda Odyssey 2008 release.
