Review on πŸš— Optimize Vehicle Suspension with Timbren DR2500D Suspension Enhancement System by James Pope

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great buy, great option, great quality, great system invented so far, no maintenance, no adjustments.

I am starting several months thinking about buying an airbag suspension system or Timbeen Aeon hollow rubber springs. There are many comments on both systems and it is up to each of us to choose the best one that suits your needs and overall bottom line, including how much you are willing to spend. At the end. However, I can say that the Timbres are NOT a piece of cake as anyone can fit them in under an hour and then forget about them for the rest of their lives rather than having a real headache installing an airbag suspension system and their air. Compressor as well as air lines, drilling holes in the frame etc including the fact that you ALWAYS need to check the air pressure of these airbags and always make sure to inflate them any time you want to tow something that requires a lot more resistance or heaviness. The bottom line is it's going to be a pain in the neck as these airbags always deflate after 1-2 weeks I hear a lot of people complain about this. If you install Timbren rubber springs they are always fine, no maintenance, no problems, no adjustments. Not to mention that these Timbren Aeon rubber springs are cheaper or at least half the price of an airbag system. Also remember that airbags tend to fail permanently at some point and as a result you will need to replace one or both after a while as they may become unusable. Timbrens are rated for up to 8600lbs and are without a doubt far more reliable than airbags. Now, as for the stiff ride, some buyers have mentioned the Timbren rubber springs and complained that they are notorious for that. So please keep in mind that as many people have remarked, if you DO NOT INSTALL the extensions that come with the package for both (left and right) sides of the car, you will get rid of a hard ride. This is with extensions installed instead of NOT adding those extensions to every page. I estimate that there is about an inch left between the rubber springs and the rear axle if no extensions are installed on each side. As such, I strongly recommend that you NOT install extensions if your vehicle has not previously been jacked up. However, I didn't jack up my car, so I installed rubber springs on the factory version of my car. I would just like to add that I still have about the same amount of room on both sides of the car after already installing my rubber springs considering my truck has added a bit more weight since I kept the 5th clutch. built as usual and a box filled with a bunch of other heavy shit that includes at least another 250lbs for safe bundling including me who is also a 220lb+ guy. I've also heard other people say that you feel the difference when you hit any pothole and immediately realized that those rubber springs are the reason. To be honest I do mostly city and highway driving with my truck and haven't noticed any of those rough bumps yet, unless you could take the slightly larger pothole I was expecting or significantly jump, maybe while driving up some deep or bumpy roads. Installing these rubber springs was pretty easy and I did NOT get my car off the ground at all and also held the tires in place without removing them as I figured I had enough room to work. So far I'm happy with the Timbren system and I'm HAPPY I made the purchase and saved a ton of money by going this route instead of airbags. Anyway, I bought my Timbrens specifically for my 37 foot 5 wheeler RV. Since it's loaded over 13,500 pounds and also has a hitch weight of over 2,100 pounds, I try to eliminate any sagging or bouncing while driving with the RV connected, including avoiding rear spring failure as much as possible, just for the Case. I also plan to trade my RV in the future and get something bigger and heavier which will allow me to increase the hitch weight even to 2500 pounds now that the truck is factory legal. Again, it's up to each of you to decide what ultimately fits your budget and needs. Good luck with your purchase, whatever it is. Hope my comments help.
