I bought this device because the modem I was using broke down intermittently. It didn't work with Cox and gave us a spinning circle of death for a full 15 minutes. Of course, Cox said it was on our end, although when I installed the system they had to go out and get it working in the box. This modem has never disabled Cox streaming no matter how hard I try. And when I connected it to the TPLink router, I tested it on 5 different TVs and internet devices, all streaming 5 different services at the same time, including YouTube, which was the worst with video loss. The modem and router haven't lost a single connection in 8 hours. I don't like scolding providers for this service, but the basic COX service in our region is not known for its reliable availability or stable throughput. I'm not sure what more or higher bandwidth will give us at the moment.
