Review on Moen 22036 Stainless Steel Kitchen Sink Basket Strainer with Drain Assembly - 3-1/2 Inch by Nick Nigerson

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Keep looking - cheap and very small (probably too small)

Quick test - cheap, small and you need putty. I should have read the other reviews but I was in a hurry. It doesn't fit in my sink because it's so small. This only works well on sinks with very thin walls. My sink was a regular cast iron sink and there weren't enough threads to properly connect the drain line. It's also very light and cheap. I bought a replacement from Ace for $19, brass body with stainless steel finish - much nicer and heavier. It was only 1/2 inch lower but that made all the difference. Also, the included rubber grommets are flimsy and cheap in comparison, and without a plumber's putty, there's no chance of leaks for long periods of time.

Pros
  • Quality build
Cons
  • Doubtful
